La Picardière
I haven’t forgotten the smell of traditional meals that used to spread around the family kitchen, where the sounds of a kettle, a simmering soup by the fireside, a slowly stewing ragout, the smell of a “Bisteu”, of beets and of roast pork and the heady cooking of a cake that the oven nobly sputtered.
Those indelible memories contribute to the perpetuation of this authentic local cuisine and to cook simple and natural products with an incomparable flavour with which I’m glad to defend the “Picarde” cuisine and culture.
